Top 10 Episodes of “Walk the Prank”

prank videos

Created by Adam Small and Trevor Moore, Walk the Prank is Disney’s prank-based reality show centered on empowering kids to pull hilariously elaborate pranks on adults from various professions and scenarios. These pranks are pulled by a core team of pranksters named Cody Veith, Bryce Gheisar, Brandon Severs, Jillian Shea Spaeder, and Tobie Windham, but can occasionally involve outside help from fellow kids.

Harmless, these pranks place adults in precarious situations where mounting stakes are only relieved once the prank ends and the prank orchestrator shouts “You just walked the prank!’” The show is cut with the everyday lives of these students as they interact and actively prank one another in the fictionalized drama of their school.

Today we’ll explore this energetic series and examine some of its best episodes to get started on.

Below, we’ve compiled a series of frequently asked questions to provide a precursory glance at Walk the Prank and to introduce some defining aspects of this ongoing series.

1. WHAT IS WALK THE PRANK?

As previously mentioned, Walk the Prank is a reality TV series much in the style of Punk’d where kids orchestrate elaborate, studio-funded pranks meant to fool unsuspecting victims into believing eccentric schemes and activities are happening around them. Along the way, the antics of the team is cut into a narrative arc illustrating an interesting and fun look into the lives of these exceptional pranksters. All the content is kid-friendly, and the results are an endearing theme with a likable cast.

2. WHAT SETS OUR SELECTION APART?

We have culled through episode throughout the Walk the Prank canon and have put up ten of our favorites which stand out for their entertainment value, unique qualities and original pranks. These selections are from the successful first seasonal, so as new episodes come out, new cases can be made for episodes that should be on this list.

Our look at this ongoing series differs from others regarding our attention to the narrative as it interacts with the pranks featured on the show. We hope to present an endearing look at this series and leave you with a sense of where to start if this may be a program you are interested in watching.

3. HOW LONG HAS THIS SHOW BEEN RUNNING?

This show originally aired on April 1, 2016, and has continued through two additional seasons and continues to run today. It’s not losing any steam and regularly boasts over 1 million viewers per episode so it is likely that the series may carry on into additional seasons.

4. WHERE CAN I WATCH IT?

This is only a Disney product, which means to casually watch you’ll need a cable connection that features the Disney channel. Alternatively, you can stream the series through YouTube and Hulu for various rates.

5. ARE THE PRANKS REPEATABLE?

This show has the backing of a large studio, and as a result, the pranks themselves can be extensive in scale. There are aspects of each prank that can be harvested for your own pranking purposes, but overall these pranks are specifically scripted and designed for a large operation like Disney. On review, it is likely that these pranks are mostly rehearsed and dramatized, rather than original, and the reactions and results can be assumed to be scripted.

How We Reviewed

man telescope

As we stated, this review has searched through specifically the 1st season of Walk the Prank and pulled some more memorable pranks together to offer our visitors a reader-friendly look at this adorable and fun TV series. We considered these episodes based on their entertainment value, originality, and general intrigue. As the show is still ongoing, the new episode and seasons are likely to change the final status of this series, but as of this post date, these are our top selections.

Do You Recommend Watching ‘Walk the Prank?’

Walk the Prank is undoubtedly a friendly and fun series for all ages. For entertainment value, it is an enjoyable series to watch. Where it faults is its lack of repeatable pranks to use in your own day-to-day prank exploits. We say enjoy the show if it is what you are in to, but seek a different resource if you are interested in developing original pranks of your own. It’s narrative arcs and friendly cast work great for kids but mostly misses the mark when vying for adult attention. It is a kid’s show, and so that is who it caters to.

The Verdict

judge sitting

Walk the Prank, now in its third season, has steadily maintained ongoing energy and enthusiasm which rarely ceases to entertain fans. Its endearing cast coupled with its wild pranks prime this show to become a fun staple for young prank enthusiasts across the nation. Meanwhile, with on average over a million viewers per episode, it seems unlikely that this series has anywhere left to go but up.

As a pranking resource, we will say that this show is not totally in the business of teaching new pranks or helping you cultivate your own pranking styles, but as a general source of entertainment and enthusiasm for the genre, Walk the Prank remains a fun a lively source for endearing content in the ever-depleting original cable TV space.

It is of note that Walk the Plank boasts low reviews on reputable sites like IMDB. We believe the reason for this is the show's focus on youth content. Because Walk the Plank is geared toward youth, it completely misses the mark for adults, but overall, we consider this show adept in the constituency it appeals to and we happily recommend it to children of elementary school age and young adults. Adults looking to bond with their children over a fun and kid-friendly show will also find value in Walk the Plank.
